Oakville Lifestyle
A location by the shores of Lake Ontario, and not one, not two, but an incredible 14 beautiful creeks make Oakville popular with water enthusiasts and outdoor lovers everywhere.
Sixteen Mile Creek runs more than 6 km, with paths on both sides of the water. The mostly paved trail makes it easy to enjoy the sights, sounds, and scents of the natural beauty all around.
Bronte Creek arises from wetlands above the Niagara Escarpment, which then passes through Strabane to Morriston and Haltonville before flowing through Oakville and entering Lake Ontario at Bronte Harbour. It’s also the heart of Bronte Creek Provincial Park, one of the most stunning green spaces in the GTA, with a breathtaking, 50-metre ravine, 1.8-acre outdoor pool, and multiple hiking trails that provide a perfect weekend or mid-afternoon getaway.
The fact that Oakville also happens to be an easy commute thanks to the QEW, highways 403 and 407, and two GO Stations also attracts visitors and newcomers from across the GTA and beyond.

Indoor/Outdoor Pools
The waterfront isn’t the only place to cool off and enjoy jumping and splashing with the family. Indoor pools at Glen Abbey Community Centre, Iroquois Ridge, and more offer year-round programming, which includes lessons and leisure swims. In the summer, you can catch some rays and enjoy a refreshing dip at Bronte, Brookdale, or Falgarwood outdoor swimming pools.
