This past Saturday members of the Lisa Hartsink Team walked to raise awareness and hope for a future without ALS. We were honoured to join so many other amazing individuals at the Georgetown/Acton Walk to End ALS and support our community by getting involved! Throughout the walk, we were asked by several other participants who we were walking for. Our answer was a resounding “we’re here to walk for the community of course”!

While none of us had any direct connection to someone living with ALS, we know that it is something that many individuals and families in our communities do, so we wanted to get out and show some support! We were also so inspired by the well known journey of local Dr. Jeff Sutherland, a celebrated physician, teacher, children’s book author, ALS advocate, and tireless fundraiser.

Thank you to all of the organizers and volunteers at the Georgetown/Acton Walk to End ALS who helped make it so special! It was a lovely day to be outside along with the teams canine counterparts, and the flower gardens at Dominion Gardens Park made for the perfect backdrop.
